What is MyDhikr?

MyDhikr is a comprehensive Islamic companion app built on a single principle: your spiritual practice is none of our business. We collect no data. We display no ads. We track no behaviour. The app works entirely offline once installed — your duas, your Quran, your prayer times, all available without a single network request.

We built MyDhikr because the existing landscape of Islamic apps is dominated by ad-supported, data-hungry products that treat users as commodities. A Muslim performing dhikr should not be interrupted by advertisements or have their usage patterns sold to third parties. MyDhikr is the answer to that problem.

Privacy Architecture

Privacy is not a feature. It's the foundation.

MyDhikr is built offline-first by design. All data — your dhikr counts, bookmarks, prayer preferences, reading progress — is stored exclusively on your device using on-device storage. There are no user accounts, no server sync, and no analytics SDKs integrated into the application. We cannot access your data because we have architected the system to make that technically impossible.

The app does not contain any third-party advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or crash reporting tool that transmits personally identifiable information. It does not request unnecessary permissions. It does not make background network requests.

MyDhikr is available in five languages: Arabic, English, French, Russian, and Indonesian — covering the majority of the world's Muslim population. Arabic text throughout the app uses the Uthmanic script (Hafs 'an 'Asim) and renders with dedicated Arabic typography for maximum readability.

Is MyDhikr really free forever?

Yes. MyDhikr is and will always be free to download and use. No in-app purchases, no subscription, no premium tier. We believe access to spiritual tools should not be gated by financial capacity.

Does MyDhikr work without internet?

Yes, completely. Once downloaded, MyDhikr works entirely offline. All content — Quran text, duas, prayer calculation — is bundled within the app. An internet connection is never required.

What data does MyDhikr collect?

None. MyDhikr collects zero personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting that identifies you. Your GPS is used only on-device to calculate prayer times and is never transmitted anywhere.

Which prayer time calculation methods are supported?

MyDhikr supports all major calculation methods including ISNA, Muslim World League (MWL), Egyptian General Authority of Survey, Umm Al-Qura University (Makkah), University of Islamic Sciences Karachi, and several others. High-latitude calculation methods (angle-based, midnight, 1/7 night) are also available.

Is the Quran text verified and authentic?

Yes. The Arabic Quran text in MyDhikr uses the standard Uthmanic script in the Hafs 'an 'Asim narration, which is the most widely used and internationally recognised rendering of the Quran. Translations are sourced from established, reputable translators.
